Indonesia to Join Otdykh Leisure 2019 in Moscow

JAKARTA, LINDO - Russia as one of the main focus market for Indonesia tourism shows a significant positive growth.
 
In 2017, there was 117.532 Russian tourists coming to Indonesia and increase significantly in amount of 6.95 percent by gaining 125.697 Russian visitors in 2018.
 
"Indonesia targeted 167.000 visitors coming from Russia in 2019," The Tourism Ministry said in a press statement released on Monday, September 9, 2019.

Last year, the participation of the Ministry in Festival Wonderful Indonesia at Krasnaya Presnya Park was one of tourism promotional program to gain awareness of the Russian tourists about Indonesia.
 
Now, The Ministry continues their efforts to follow up the branding campaign with selling activities in Russia by participating in tourism exhibition Otdykh Leisure 2019 which will be held at Expocentre Fairgrounds Moscow, Russia from 10 until 12 September 2019.
 
“Otdykh Leisure is one of the biggest event for Russian market in terms of the Business to Business meeting. This event is expected to strengthen and encourage the relation between Indonesian sellers and Russian buyers which will meet during this exhibition in order to increase the number of sold tour packages to Indonesia. This transaction will present a positive impact for the growth of the number of Russian tourists coming to Indonesia,” Agustini Rahayu, Director of Marketing Development for Europe Region, was quoted as saying.
 
Otdykh Leisure sessions will be separated into two sections namely Business to Business meeting (B2B) on the first and second day and consumer selling (B2C) on the third day.
 
This year, Otdykh Leisure celebrate its 25 years anniversary and expect 900 exhibitors from 80 countries and Russian regions to join this event.
 
In 2018, this event attracted 38.800 visitors during the tourism exhibition for three days and 870 exhibitors participated from 41 countries in the world and also 44 cities in Russia.
 
The Indonesia Booth will take the phinisi ship as the focal point and displaying Balinese ambiance. Furthermore, It will introduce The New Priority Destinations such as Borobudur, Toba Lake and Padar Island. In order to promote Indonesian tourist destinations to Otdykh Leisure visitors, the Indonesian booth will offer performances of Indonesian traditional dances from Bali and Java, present the carnival costumes from Malang and give Indonesian coffee products for free.
